- Halftone print of a photograph of a woman modeling a dark colored coat with bands of decorative pleating, over a dark dress, with a broad-brimmed befeathered hat, as well as a cane, heels, and spats. She stands with her back toward the right of the camera. The background consists of a faint image of a large window with parted curtains. The image was sent by the J.L. Hudson Company to Mrs. William H. Johnston of 17 West Bethune Avenue, Detroit as part of a packet of six photos showcasing fashions for the fall of 1918.

The paper cover features illustration of a man wearing a suit and jacket and a woman wearing a dress and jacket against a faded green, blue, and tan background. - Trade card from the Detroit Stove Works advertising Jewel Stoves and Ranges. A lithograph on the recto, attributed to J.H. Bufford's Sons, depicts two young girls, one in a blue skirt and the other in an orange skirt, carrying flowers and holding hands as they walk down a road. In the upper left corner of the recto is a rectangle with the words "Jewel Stoves and Ranges; Detroit Stove Works; Detroit, Chicago, Buffalo."

- One promissory note, dated November 13, 1869, that was issued by the Richmond & Backus Company. It was printed in black text on white paper. The note terms were handwritten in black ink text and indicated that $350 was to be paid to Charles Moran on May 13, 1870, at the Second National Bank of Detroit.

- Valentin Blatz Brewing Company invoice and bill of lading for $96.57 for dark malt syrup sold to the E.J. Dossin Company on October 23, 1922. The invoice is stamped with a form indicating the price of shipment as $5.30. The route on both documents is listed as "Chgo. Steamship - M.C. - Kirby Street Station." The bill of lading is stamped as received by the Chicago Railway Steamship Company.

Most respectfully yours, Hugo Hill, 181 Jefferson Avenue Handwritten notes on the recto list the names and addresses of Wilkins and Stone of Chicago, Captain James Wilkins of Pittsburgh, D. Wilkins of Chicago, Alvan Wilkins of Detroit, and D. Beecher of Detroit.

- American Fibre Chamois Company trade card promoting the dry goods store, J. Sparling and Company of Detroit. A color lithograph of a woman in a brown dress and hat with the caption "Fibre Chamois," is on the recto. The verso contains the text of an 1895 letter from actress and singer Lillian Russell praising the "genuine fibre chamois" from the American Fibre Chamois Company used by New York dressmaker Redfern, as well as the name of J. Sparling and Company.
