- Description:
- "Number 24, Dunbar & Sullivan Dredging Co. First Mortgage, 5 Per Cent, $5000 Registered Gold Bond" (24 of 30). The bond is printed in printed in red, green, and black ink on white paper that is watermarked "Broun-Green Beaver Bond." It has a decorative engraved green border with engraved images at the top that depict Lady Liberty and other figures that represent American industry and a bountiful harvest. Black, Old-English style text shows the company name, "Dunbar & Sullivan Dredging Co." and lists the terms of the bond issuance and repayment. The bond has been signed by "Harris T. Dunbar, President," and "Frederick C. Slee, Secretary," and is dated March 15, 1904. The 20-year bonds were due for repayment on March 15, 1924. A round, embossed company seal is located near the lower left corner of the bond. The verso contains blank spaces which have handwritten text that show the date and name in whom the bond was registered along with the signature of the company Treasurer. Other handwritten text and notes showed subsequent bond ownership reassignments with signatures.

- One agreement, dated 9 August 1870, between Henry Baby of Detroit and the Detroit and Cleveland Navigation Company, also of Detroit. The agreement is handwritten in black ink on white paper that has pre-printed light red lines and a single blue left margin line. The agreement indicated that Henry Baby was chartering the propeller vessel, Concord, to the Detroit and Cleveland Navigation Company for the sum of seventy-five dollars. Various other details were discussed although the agreement did not give a specific termination date.

The drawing consists of black ink on linen and shows a port side view of the Ann Arbor No. 1 railroad car ferry. Printed text along the bottom shows "Craig Ship B'ldg. Co., Toledo, Ohio." Handwritten text and a blue stamp in the lower right corner show "Str. No. 56 & 55, No. 34" and "New Drawing No. Tol. 55-S9-0-9, Tube No. 1."

- Detroit and Cleveland Navigation Company advertisement printed on cardstock, possibly intended as an ink blotter. Depicts a group of frogs singing Christmas carols into the microphone of a radio transmitter in a small shed, while another frog in a coat and a gnome stand outside. Several passenger steamers are in the snow in the distance. An insert depicts a family listening to the radio in a living room decorated for Christmas. An insert of a buffalo and a wreath around the D&C logo are also pictured. Text at lower left reads: Detroit. Michigan December 25, 1923 To Ticket Agents, Connecting Lines and Shippers: "Tune in" on our best wishes to you for a Merry Christmas and a bright and prosperous New Year. The drawing consists of black ink on linen and shows longitudinal and half cross-section views of the hull and its structural framing configuration. The title block in the lower right corner shows that the drawing was prepared by "Manitowoc Ship Building & Dry Dock Co." at a scale of 1/2 inch = 1 foot and is dated December 11, 1914. The drawing number is shown as "3560."

- Photograph (and 1 copy). Black and white photo of the port side of the passenger steamer, "Hamonic," while underway. The ship was built in Collingwood, Ontario, in 1909 and was destroyed by fire on July 17, 1945, at Point Edward, Ontario. The ship was owned by the Northern Navigation Company which later became a division of Canada Steamship Lines. A typewritten label on the verso shows "Hamonic, Pass. Steamer, Northern Navigation Co., 365' - 50' - 24'. Built at Collingwood, Ont., 1909. Ran between Detroit, Sarnia, and Lake Superior. Destroyed by fire July 17th 1945 at Point Edward, Sarnia, Ontario." Printed text along the bottom of the photo shows "3485, Hamonic, 1915, Pesha Photo."
