- 1921 catalog of Laurel Stoves, Ranges and Furnaces from the Art Stove Company bound in a stiff gray, blue and gold cardboard cover. The front cover reads: "Laurel; The Art Stove Company; Detroit - Chicago." The back cover has text on it that reads "We manufacture under the Laurel trade mark a complete line of cast iron and steel ranges, combination coal and gas ranges, gas ranges, hard coal, soft coal, and wood heaters; warm air furnaces, pipeless furnaces that are known from coast to coast as the world's greatest fuel savers. We shall be glad to mail upon request Special Gas Appliances and Furnace catalogs." Printing of the catalog is attributed to Saturday Night Press, Inc. of Detroit. Contained within it are prices, images, measurements and advertising information for Laurel Stoves, Ranges, and Furnaces, as well as accessories for them, from 1921.

- One letter from McNamee & Mann, Contractors, Montreal, to Dunbar & Sullivan, Port Colborne. The letter is handwritten in black ink on white linen paper that is watermarked "Standard, Pure Linen." The letter is transcribed as follows: "21st May 1901 Messrs. Dunbar & Sullivan Port Colborne Dear Sirs As nothing has been done under the 30% option on American Abbey Salts Stock it is now off - as the scrip has been endorsed by you and is now in Quebec Bank here. They wished to hand the certificate back to us, we think it would be just as well to write us a letter authorizing the Quebec Bank to forward you this scrip or certificate to your address in Port Colborne or you can have them to keep it in their vault subject to your order. Let us hear what you wish. With kind regards, We remain Yours truly, "McNamee & Mann."

- Photograph. Sepia-toned gelatin silver photo of a decorated horse drawn cart that was part of the Detroit Bi-Centenary Parade. The cart body and wheels are covered with artificial flowers. A woman is seated in the driver's seat and a man is seated in back. Both are well-dressed and the woman is holding a buggy whip. The cart is moving along a residential street and two large houses can be seen in the background, but the street name is not known. A man is standing in the street near the horse. (The same man can also be seen in photo 1953.026.007 so it is possible that he was involved with the parade organization or was an assistant to the photographer.) Handwriting on the verso notes "Mrs. Bertram C. Whitney."

- Handwritten letter from the Colored Citizens of Detroit sent to the family of Jacob Merritt Howard, upon the occasion of Howard's death to accompany a copy of resolutions adopted in memorial of the late senator (2013.048.672). The letter reads: To the family of the late Jacob M. Howard, at a meeting of the Colored Citizens of Detroit held in the Union League Rooms on the 5th of April 1871, the inclosed Pre-amble and Resolutions were unanimously adopted, and we as a Committee instructed to present them to you, The duty is a sad one, and we perform it, with that sorrow, that is born of our affection for one, who has always been our earnest and sincere friend. The map, printed in French, shows the Detroit River, the northern portion of Lake Erie, the southern portion of Lake St. Clair, and surrounding land. An inset at lower right shows the "Plan Du Fort Du Detroit," with roads and some buildings labeled. The shoreline along the Detroit River is colored in yellow, dark green, and red, and the buildings on the plan of Fort Detroit are colored in brown.
