- Fragment of the header of a petition to the Detroit Common Council, urging for the enforcement of existing laws against the sale of liquor on Sunday, and for passage of further laws to close "all saloons, stores, and public places, such as necessity does not require to be kept open," as well. "November 1859," is handwritten across the top. Several spaces for signatures are at the bottom of the fragment.

- Color postcard depicting the Hazen S. Pingree Monument in Grand Circus Park, with pedestrians on the paths and Woodward Avenue on the right. Printed on verso: The Pingree Monument in West Grand Circus Park, was erected in 1904 by popular subscription. The late Hazen S. Pingree was four times Mayor of Detroit, and twice Governor of Michigan. He died June 18th, 1901, aged 60 years. Handwritten message on verso, postmarked Feb 27, 1914.

The map is bound to the west by Artillery Street, to the south by the Detroit River, to the east by Cadillac Boulevard, and to the North by Williams Street. Red lines highlight some of the major streets and avenues.

- Color print of a water color painting titled "A View of Detroit and the Straits, taken from the Huron Church June 22nd, 1804" by Edward Walsh. Hand written text underneath the title reads "Here the Americans first landed to invade Upper Canada. The Straits are three miles across. General Brock returned the compliment & took Detroit," referencing the siege of Detroit by British General Isaac Brock during the War of 1812. The view depicts Detroit from the Canadian shore. On the Canadian side, in the foreground, can be seen the Huron Church and small settlements, along with a horse drawn carriage and a man on horseback riding along a dirt trail on the left side. Across the straits, in the background, can be seen Fort Detroit, with several ships and a large American flag visible.

Starkweather, Jesse Mack, August H. Bachmann, Edmund F. Culver, Alphonso Baker, William Thompson, William Nolan, John T. Spillane, James McDonnell, Lemuel Guyman, and George Heigho. A handwritten date at the bottom of the cutout shows "Jany. 1st 1901."
