- The powerhouse and car barns for the DUR were located on the east side of Main Street near the Paint Creek, just north of Fifth Street (University Drive). These buildings were built (1899-1900) when the interurban line was extended through Rochester. The car barns burned in 1923 and the other buildings were razed in the mid-1930s when the line was discontinued. (P-293) [date is approximate] Photograph Collection

- Description:
- The DUR powerhouse and car barns were located on the northeast corner of Fifth Street (University Drive) and Main Street near the Paint Creek. The buildings were erected between 1899-1900 on the east side of Main Street when the interurban was extended through Rochester.
