The recto is printed with an image of a woman in a white gown with orange dots, a girdle belt, and an armlet arranging flowers in a vase atop a pedestal. "J.L. Hudson, Clothier, Detroit Opera House Building," is printed along the top. The verso is printed with the text, "On or about April 1st we will remove to our new stores, 141, 143 &145 Woodward Ave. where we shall be pleased to receive our Friends and Customers. J.L. Hudson." "Selma Beer," is handwritten on the verso.

- Mounted black and white photo of the aerial apparatuses of the Detroit Fire Department's Ladder Companies No.1 and No.3 being used to fight a fire at the Goldberg Brothers' department store on the west side of Woodward Avenue between Grand River and Clifford Street, as viewed from across the street to the northeast. Firefighters work amid broken windows and display cases along the base of the building. A large clearance banner and a "Store for rent" sign are posted on the Grinnell Brothers' Music House next door to Goldberg Brothers. Clough and Warren Company, Pianos; Wood's Ladies Haus; and the William B. Elliott Company are also posted along the block. Several bystanders are also in frame. The photo is mounted on black matte board, with a border relief around the image. "Fred G. Wright, Detroit, Mich. 115 Gratiot Ave. Phone MAIN 5488," is stamped on the verso. A lengthy handwritten note listing involved firefighters is also on the verso: May 10th 1908 Water Towers[?] in action at Goldberg fire Members of Co. May 10th in 1908 Wm. P. O'Brien, Lieut. J.M. - Half-folded invitation card to the 1907 Fall Opening of the Newcomb-Endicott Company on October 2 and 3. The card's cover features the Newcomb-Endicott crest atop a pair of red leaves in the top right corner against a beige background. A half-folded leaf of lightweight paper, bound within by white cord, is printed with the crest and the message, "The favor of your presence is requested at our Fall Opening Wednesday and Thursday October Second and Third Nineteen Hundred and Seven Exhibiting Latest Importations in Gowns, Millinery and Wraps, Foreign Silks and Dress Fabrics. Newcomb-Endicott Company, Detroit."
