- From early 18th century Illuminated Persian Manuscript. The leaf's inscription is in double columns, surrounded by gold borders consisting of gold and red flowers. The leaf is tinted in soft colors. The text of the manuscript is comprised of Persian poems and epics. Persia CA. 1680-1720.

- A leaf from "Stulefera Navis", the Latin version of the famous satirical German poem, Das Narrenschiff, or the Ship of Fools by Sebastian Brant. Printed by Bergman von Olpe at Basle in 1498, the recto side of the incunable leaf is marked XXII on the top.

- A leaf from "Opus Trivium", by Jean (John) Bromyard. Printed by Nicolas Wolff at Lyons in 1500. Gothic type was used of the majority of the writing; though the colored initials were added by hand.

- From the "Nüremburg Chronicle". It was printed in Nüremburg by Anton Koberger in 1493. The "Nüremburg Chronicle" contained over 300 leaves and about 1,900 woodcuts. The type is a modified Gothic that was commonly used with the Nüremburg printers. This ambitious publishing feat is known as the Picture Book of the Fifteenth Century. The recto side of the leaf is marked CCXXII in the upper right hand corner; the verso side is unmarked.

- A leaf from a Koran Manuscript in Cufic characters. This leaf is thought to be from 12th century; though it isn't dated. The style of the calligraphy suggests it could be from Mashad (Persia), although its origins could be in Arabia or Egypt. A few leaves from this manuscript are in Boston, in the Oriental Collection of the Museum of Fine Arts.

- A leaf from "Vocabularius Praedicantium Sire Variloguus" printed in 1488 in Strassburg by Georg Husner. This early printed "dictionary" written by Johannes Melber could also be considered a thesaurus as well.

- A manuscript leaf from "Flemish Book of Hours", ca. 1250-1300. This leaf shows the customary wide margins and careful workmanship. The manuscript from which this leaf was taken, shows the influence of the Flemish or northern French in the few initial letters where a clay base was encrusted over with gold paint. This leaf only shows the faint illumination of the soft gold. The rulings used to write in a straight line are also evident on the leaf.
