- Booklet published on the occasion of the eighty second anniversary of the Detroit News and the opening of the new Detroit Free Press building, designed by Albert Kahn, in 1913. The front cover features an embossed image of a man with a quill writing on a scroll with a city skyline behind him and the words "A Record of Progress." The words "Eight-Two Years a Newspaper" are embossed in gold underneath the image, and text reading "The Detroit Free Press 1913" is located on the bottom left. The inside of the booklet features 32 pages recounting, as indicated by the first page, "A Short Story of Eighty-Two Years of the greatest daily Newspaper of the Middle West commemorating the Opening of the New Home of The Detroit Free Press." The booklet also features numerous black and white photographs of the interior rooms of the building and portrait depictions of the Executive Staff and the Editorial Staff. The center of the booklet features a two page spread of a hand-colored photograph of the Counting Room. The copyright statement on the last page reads "Designed and Executed Complete by The Franklin Press Detroit."

- 1-page letter written by William E. Quinby, President of the Detroit Free Press. It is a blue carbon copy which was typewritten onto thin linen paper and has the watermark, "S & B Paragon Linen, Made In U.S.A." The writer has signed in black ink, "William E. Quinby."

- One sheet music booklet entitled "Christmas Chimes" which includes "Words and Music by Eva Best, Written for the Detroit Free Press." The cover page is printed in black ink on slightly yellowed paper. The two interior pages and the back page show the printed music as well as the words for the title song. Printed text at the bottom of the cover page shows that the music was a "Supplement to the Detroit Free Press."
