Workers on scaffolds rivet the hull's plates, while other workers installing Bilge Plates. Two more rows of plating remain to be installed. A sign posted on the boat's bow reads, "The Worlds Record for Boat Building and Launching is 14 Days Held by Great Lakes Engineering Co., Target for Ford Eagle Builders: 10 Days, CAN WE BEAT IT?"
