Printed on verso: Capitol Square Park, situated in the business district of the city, is one of the many small breathing spots which Detroit's Park and Boulevard Commission keeps beautiful the year round. It takes its name from the fact that, for several years, the building housing the Michigan offices occupied the property, before the center of government was transferred to Lansing. Printed on verso: West Grand Circus Park, Tuller Hotel, etc. This Park is the oldest of Detroit's recreation grounds and is situated in the heart of the city through which runs the famous Woodward Avenue. This Park was set aside by the city in 1854, and is enjoyed by thousands in summer on account of its magnificent shade trees. Handwritten message on verso, postmarked Feb 18, 1914.
