The bottom of the photo is cut off, but likely originally bore a border that read "F. Friend, 244 & 246 Woodward Ave, Detroit," matching others in this collection.

- Mounted photograph of Governor Charles M. Croswell posed with former governors Alpheus Felch, John J. Bagley, David H. Jerome, Henry P. Baldwin, and Austin Blair on the steps of the new Michigan State Capitol in Lansing on the day of its dedication, January 1, 1879. "The Governors and Ex-Governors of Michigan, Jan. 1st 1879, Mead & Jennings, Artists," has been printed along the bottom of the image, as though it were written on the ground. The names and dates of service have been handwritten on the matting adjacent to each governor.

- Sepia-toned portrait photo of Jacob Guthard of Company H of the 9th Michigan Volunteer Infantry Regiment during the Civil War, housed inside a beige cardstock folder. Guthard is pictured in a reversed oval-shaped half length portrait wearing a Union army jacket, an eagle shoulder breast sling plate, and kepi hat with an "H" insignia pin holding his rifle. The folder's cover bears an embossed image of a coat of arms, and the handwritten note, "Company H 9th Michigan; Volunteer Infantry; Aug 1861; Jacob Guthard." "Picture of Jacob Guthard who enlisted in the Co. 14. 9th Michigan; Volunteer Infantry Aug. 1861 - at the age of sixteen years. Property of Mrs. W. J. Strudley 3019 McClellan Ave. Detroit" is handwritten on the back cover.

- Photographic Print (1 copy). Mounted, sepia-toned image of fireman, Clinton Pasco. The full-length portrait of Pasco shows him in his Detroit Firefighter uniform and hat. He is leaning on an ax handle held in his right hand with the blade of the ax resting on the floor and his left hand is placed on his hip with arm bowed out. His shirt has been hand-colored in purple/maroon and the number, "7," has been handwritten on his badge. (His shirt is not colored in the copy photo.) A small three-legged table is to the right of Pasco, with a figurine placed on the table top. Handwriting on verso notes, "Clinton Pasco."
