Grand Rapids National Bank's Michigan Street branch. “First to be equipped with tear gas bombs.” Image shows deserted lobby decorated for Christmas with pictures of Santa Claus, candles around each gated teller station, several Christmas trees and the sign “Join our Christmas thrift club” on the top of the teller's partition. In the center of the lobby are standing height tables for customers. The checkerboard tile floor is a salient feature of the photo.
