Survey was discontinued by act of Congrees of March 3, 1879, and the U.S. Geological survey established in its stead., and First-second reports were published in Reports of the commissioner of the General land office for the years 1867 and 1868. 1st-3d reports were reprinted in 1873 and published in 1 volume under title: First, second, and third annual reports of the United States Geological survey of the territories for the years 1867, 1868, and 1869, under the Department of the interior.
