Rome; Lamps; Clay (unfired); Slip

Notes:

Pale buff micaceous clay witj traces of red slip. Semi-circular nozzle. Piece broken from neck; does not seem to have extended across rim. Broad rim decorated by three rows of raised dots. Slight ridge about small discus and two circular grooves descending to central filling hole. Ring handle, two grooves on upper half, one on lower. On reverse, base ring set off by grooves about impressed stamp, small stamped concentric circles above and below signature: L.Caec(ilius) Sae(cularis). Nozzle slightly blackened.
