The view looks northeastward and shows the ends of the existing railroad tracks at the banks of the Rouge River. Tower posts for the new bridge can be seen in the background on each side of the tracks and other structural steel beams can be seen on the ground beside the tracks. A track-mounted construction crane and several factory buildings are visible in the background of the photo. The ground is lightly covered with snow and chunks of ice can be seen on the river.
