The drawing consists of black ink on linen and shows a half cross-section view with dimensions for the proposed wooden-hulled steamships. The plan was prepared at a scale of 1/2 inch = 1 foot by Frank E. Kirby of the Detroit Dry Dock Company. (Steamer numbers 59 and 60 were the Detroit Dry Dock hull numbers for the passenger steamships that were known as F.&P.M. No. 1 and F.&P.M. No. 2, respectively.)
