Notes:
Pinkish Buff clay. New Year’s lamp. Rounded nozzle flanked by double volutes which encroach on rim. Slit- shaped hole in neck. Plain rim slopes outward, two grooved circles between rim and discus. On discus, Victoria standing, turned left, wings, spread, hair knotted at neck, wears long girt chiton and apoptygma, chalymys draped like a scarf over arms, branch over left arm, round shield held out in right hand on which is incised New Year’s greeting. Annu(m) novum faustu(m) felic(em) tibi. Above shield is marked oval object and a smaller one (cake) . Objects are New Year’s gifts (strenae). Handle broken from lamp. Circular reverse set off by single groove. are two coins
