She stands with her back toward the right of the camera. The background consists of a faint image of a potted plant on a pedestal in front of wall paneling and a sconce. The image was sent by the J.L. Hudson Company to Mrs. William H. Johnston of 17 West Bethune Avenue, Detroit as part of a packet of six photos showcasing fashions for the fall of 1918.
