Notes:
View from the south of the Tower at the end of the 13th Century. Originally commissioned by William I and then entrusted to Bishop Gundulf by William II. Further construction continued through the reigns of Kings Richard I, John, Henry III, and Edward I. It is now a museum and cultural institution.
