Notes:
Fine, almost white, clay with mottled red-dark brown glaze. End of nozzle restored. Part of flanking volutes remain. Flat grooved rim. Discus re-cemented in and does not seem to belong to this lamp. Gladiator seated, facing right, stripped to waist, wears helmet and greaves, right arm protected with bandage and straight sword in right hand, curved shield in front of him. Ring handle and crescent attachment decorated with single groove do not belong to lamp. Four circular grooves about base and stamp of three-lobed rosette.
