Description:

The Belcrest apartment Hotel located at 5440 Cass Avenue. Charles N. Agree Architect built 1926. A photograph of the Belcrest’s entrance and exterior is located in the lower right corner of image and a floor plan in upper left corner. The Belcrest, as illustrated on this page, is twelve stories in height above the basement. It is built of reinforced concrete, fireproof construction throughout, and finished on the exterior with pressed brick and terra cotta trim. It contains 396 rooms and 135 bathrooms, divided into suites of 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6 rooms having kitchenettes and dining alcoves. In the rear of this building there has been built a garage housing 120 cars for the exclusive use of tenants.
