Sauer's Map of the City of Detroit and Environs, Michigan

Description:
One street map of Detroit and eastern Wayne County (with portions of southern Oakland and Macomb Counties) that was published by the Topping-Sanders Company, Printers. The upper Detroit River is also shown along with Windsor, Ontario, and nearby communities. The map is printed in black ink on thin white paper at an approximate scale of 1.5 inches = 1 mile. It shows streets, street names, city and township names, section numbers, railroad lines, and private claim numbers. A typewritten inset table in the lower left corner lists "Proposed Parks" and "Street Widenings and Openings." Several parks, land parcels, and streets have been hand-colored with various ink colors. The map was "Compiled and drawn by Wm. Sauer," and has a copyright date of 1919.
