Site of First Log House in Rochester

Description:
The first log house in Rochester was built on this site at 116 East Third Street. James Graham and his son built the house in 1817. It was the birthplace of the first settler's child in the county. The first school was started here in 1823 and the photograph shows a house on this site that was built in 1915. (P-260) see also RRP-116 Photograph Collection
