- West side of [Old] Woodward Avenue in downtown Birmingham, looking north from intersection at Maple. Woodward is unpaved. The image of a biplane has been superimposed on the original photograph to create a novelty postcards. The photographer, Louis James Pesha, was known for these whimsical images. Pesha was a Canadian, who owned Pesha Postcard Company in Marine City, Michigan and was known for his photos of the Great Lakes region. Reference: Buel, G. & Buel, S. (2012) Marine City.
