Barkham Mill

Description:

Barkham Mill exterior including bridge, located on the west side of Main Street north of the Clinton River. The photo was taken between 1903 and 1914. In 1880 the mill was owned by Mr. Dawson, located at Main and First Streets. J. C. Curtis and Sons owned it in 1887 and made improvements. In 1903 it was bought by Barkham and Son, improvements made, and operated until World War I. S. W. Barkham's brother was George Barkham of Goodison who was briefly associated with the Goodison Mill.
