John Boehner notes that Parks is the first African-American woman to have a statue in her honor placed in the Capitol. Congressional leaders comment on the legacy of Parks. President Obama says, "Rosa Parks’ singular act of disobedience launched a movement." The U.S. Army Chorus sings the National Anthem, "Lift Ev'ry Voice and Sing", and "America the Beautiful".
