Brooks, Harry; Flier

Description:
Portrait of Harry Brooks, who was Henry Ford's pilot. "The Flivver was a midget plane in which Henry Ford took a personal interest. The plane was designed and built as a project of Henry Ford and his chief test pilot, Harry Brooks ... As soon as this first plane was operational in July, 1926, Harry Brooks used it as a personal plane to commute daily from his home north of Detroit to the Ford Airport in Dearborn ... Brooks's good fortune however did not last. A few days later he crashed into the ocean off Melbourne, Florida and was lost," from "Beyond the Model T: the other ventures of Henry Ford," by Ford Richardson Bryan.
