"Mrs. Shelden" is handwritten along the edge of the first page, however it is unclear if this belonged to Catherine Butler Dusenbury Shelden or her daughter-in-law Caroline Annette Alger Shelden. Dinner and lunch appointments, bridge games, plays, balls, and functions at country clubs are recorded within.

- Sepia-toned group portrait photograph taken of Helen Hall Newberry Joy and a group of women in gowns who attened her 30th wedding anniversary dinner for her marriage to Henry Bourne Joy. The women pose in a semi-circle within a parlor furnished with paintings, sculpture, and vases. The photo is signed by photographer C.M. Hayes.
