- Woman's silk crepe cocktail dress with jacket in two shades of gold. The dress flows freely from the gathering of the round, piped neckline. Ties on the upper back criss-cross the front in the Grecian style. The panels of the dress alternate shades of gold. The jacket is bolero-cut with cap sleeves and piped edges.

- Long olive green skirt, wool garbardine, trimmed with braid on side of skirt. Fitted waist with multiple stitching, large decorative buttons on front, small patch pockets, pieced in back with large pleats, and tucks just below hip level. Circa 1870-1899.

- The simple bodice indicates that this dress was worn with a lace bertha and sleeve ruffles. The bust improvers, bodice construction and skirt are typical of the period. The dress was possibly remade from an earlier 1830s silk.

- This style of shoe was among Mrs. Firestone's very favorites; she wore it consistently for nearly two decades. This pair were likely custom made to match a specific outfit, now gone. Please note, she rarely wore black after 1930 and we have no black outfits owned by Mrs. Firestone from the 1950s.Born in Decatur, Illinois in 1897 Elizabeth Parke married Harvey S.
