- The black flag of anarchism was carried by some participants of the anti-inaugural demonstration in Washington DC on January 19, 1969. The protest was sponsored by the Mobilization to End the War in Vietnam Committee. After a protest march there was an anti-inaugural ball in a huge tent with more than 1000 spectators exposed to an obscene performance by self-styled anarchist who calls himself Super Joel Yippie [he carries a YIPPIE! flag].
