Beyond the park can be seen the Capitol Park Motor Hotel on Lenawee and Townsend Streets and the Young Men's Christian Association. The roof level of the municipal parking ramp at 316 South Capitol Avenue is in the foreground. The Board of Water and Light's Eckert Power Station is in the background with its seven smokestacks, behind the Oldsmobile Division of General Motors Corporation.

- From the left are seen Cunningham Drugs on the street level of the Prudden Building with its entry off West Michigan Avenue, Archy's Lounge, House of Beef, and Hotel Olds on the south side.
