- Description:
- An unidentified man on the steps of the Chamber of Commerce building, Lansing. The photo is inscribed, perhaps by the man pictured. This building was built as a home by Christopher Columbus Darling in about 1860, at the corner of Allegan and Walnut streets. Darling's daughter Sarah married Rollin C. Dart and the home was soon given to the young couple. Because of its location "outside of town" it became known as Dart's Folly. Located at 202 South Walnut Street.
