- Color postcard depicting the Hotel Normandie from the corner of E Congress and Bates Streets. Pedestrians and an automobile are visible in front. A sign reads "CAFÉ". Printed on verso: The Hotel Normandie, on East Congress Street is one of the older hotels of the city and has been in use for hospitable purposes for over 40 years. It was extensively remodeled in 1888 and is modern in every respect. It contains 125 rooms. Handwritten message on verso, postmarked Mar 6, 1910.

The steamers Pleasure and Tashmoo, loading with excursionists, bound respectively for Belle Isle and the St. Clair Flats. Thousands of people take in the popular trips these steamers afford. - Color postcard depicting the Detroit Boat Club from the shore of Belle Isle, with a flower bed in the foreground. Printed on verso: Detroit Boat Club, Belle Isle, Detroit, Mich. The Detroit Boat Club is one of the most exclusive social and athletic organizations in Detroit. Its handsome home on Belle Isle near the bridge was erected in 1902 to replace one destroyed by fire. The building is one of the finest of its kind in the world. Its members enjoy unusual facilities for their favorite sport of rowing, which they combine with sailing and canoeing. Their balls feature the summer in Detroit society. In front of the bridge entrance to the club is one of the finest flower beds on the Island. Handwritten message on verso, postmarked Aug 27, 1915.

Sepia-toned photographic postcard depicting an early fire engine being pulled by three white horses south on Woodward Avenue through Grand Circus Park, as spectators line the sidewalk to watch. In addition to the driver, a firefighter sits in the front of the engine while another holds onto the rear. The photo was taken near Park Street and Woodward Avenue, facing north. Central United Methodist Church, and the Hotel Wolverine are visible in the background. "Photo by Straghota" printed in lower left. The verso has extensive handwritten notes: 1920 Last Run at corner of Woodward & Adams Ave. Methodist Church in background & Wolverine Hotel also in background. Engine #9 Engine Seat- Harry Neville Engine at backend- George Moore Driver- Engine Weight - 6 tons Ball bearings in the wheels 3 men could turn engine around Hard rubber tires on engine. 20 lbs. steam on engine at all times.
