Printed on verso: Detroit Yacht Club, Belle Isle. - This handsome home of the club was built in 1905 to replace their former home, destroyed by fire. It cost $20,000. The club is one of the largest on the great lakes, features sailing and maintains a fleet of 20 one-design cat-boats in which the members sail weekly in regattas. - Postcard. Colored photographic image of the Wayne County Building in Detroit Michigan. Back reads, "Wayne Co. Building, Detroit, Mich. The Wayne County Building faces the east end of Cadillac Square and was built in 1897 at a cost of $1,625,000. The site cost $550,000. It is the county seat of Wayne County and the County Offices and Courts are located in this building." The postcard was mailed and a one cent stamp is still attached. The post-mark reads, "Detroit, Mich. Oct. 29, 8 PM 1912." Message: "Oct 29/12 Dear Friend:- We are in need of corn huskers and in case any of your acquaintances happen to be laid off work now who can do such work send them and pay 5¢ per Bu. &they board themselve or pay their board at farm house. Kind regards to all- Florince M. David"
