The majority of the land shown in the image is covered in forest and sand dunes are seen by the lakeshore. There is no handwriting on the back of the postcard and the typed description in the upper left corner reads: "Saugatuck, Michigan. Aerial view shows Saugatuck's unique location along the shores and bathing beach of Lake Michigan. Lake Kalamazoo in the foreground makes an ideal natural harbor for all kinds of boating activities."

The postcard depicts a series of parked cars in the parking lot, and while the beach has a smattering of individuals, it is not as busy as the number of cars would suggest. The back of the postcard bares no handwriting but does have the following typed in the upper lefthand corner: "Saugatuck, Michigan. The OVAL as seen from the air. Swimming, sunning, or just relaxing as its best on the sparkling, sandy beach of beautiful Lake Michigan."
