- Description:
- At the time of the photo, these churches were present: the largest, Lansing Church of God in Christ, at 1100 West St. Joseph Street, was on the northwest corner at South Logan Street. To the left, at 1112 West St. Joseph Street, was the new Mount Calvary Church. To the right, on the east side of South Logan Street, was Galilee Baptist Church at 1026 West St. Joseph Street. Recently opened Interstate Highway 496, in the foreground, displaced many homes, churches and businesses in the area.
