The drawing (Job 254) consists of red and black ink on linen and shows two elevation views and wall cross-section detail of a proposed 2-story building. The building was designed for "Mr. Con. [Cornelius] J. Murphy, Owner, Detroit, Michigan," included a saloon on the first floor with two apartments on the second floor. This drawing, shown at a scale of 1/4 inch = 1 foot, was part of a set of eight sheets that were prepared by "J. Lawson Miller, Architect." Some blue, green, and yellow pencil shading has been added on the verso to highlight various architectural details. The building was located at the northwest corner of Elmwood Ave. and Champlain (now E. Lafayette) Street in Detroit.

A red ink stamp in the lower left corner of the first sheet indicates that the plan was approved by the "Department of Buildings, City of Detroit" on April 15, 1916. The building was located on High Street near Brooklyn Avenue in Detroit.
