- Map, "Plan of the City of Detroit," from page 80 of Mitchell's New General Atlas, copyright 1887 by Wm. M. Bradley & Bros. The map shows the City of Detroit, separated into 13 wards with green, pink, and yellow shading. The map is bound to the west by Twenty Fourth Street, to the south by the Detroit River, to the east by Mt. Elliott Avenue, and to the north by W. Milwaukee Street. In addition to roads, the map also indicates railroad lines, including Michigan Central R.R., Grand Trunk R.R., Detroit & Toledo R.R. The reverse side of the page features page 79 of Mitchell's New General Atlas, which contains a portion of a map of Michigan.

- One map entitled "The Town and Fortifications of Detroit AD 1796, City of Detroit AD 1845." In black ink on linen, the map shows the layout of the town and fort as of 1796 including the names and locations of property owners at that time. Several areas have been tinted light blue. The map also shows the layout of the downtown area as of 1845 which has been superimposed faintly in red ink. The superimposed area extends from Woodward Avenue on the east, to the Detroit River on the south, to Cass Street on the west, and to Lafayette Street on the north. The map appears to be drawn at a scale of approximately 1 inch = 100 feet and helps to show the location relationship between the old and new cities.

- One street map entitled "R. L. Polk & Co.'s Map of the City of Detroit, Michigan." The map is printed in black on slightly yellowed paper at a scale of 2.5 inches = 1 mile. It shows streets, street names, city and township boundaries, section numbers, streetcar routes, and railroads. The map was printed by "R. L. Polk & Company" and is dated 1900. An alphabetical listing of streets is shown along the bottom of the map.

- One map entitled "Map of the City of Detroit" that was "published exclusively for J. W. Weeks & Co.'s City Directory." The map was "revised and corrected by Eugene Robinson, Surveyor," and was printed by the Calvert Lithograph Company It is printed in black and red ink on white paper and shows streets, street names, ward numbers, and railroads in the city. A grid of red lines and letters is also shown which corresponds to the alphabetical index of street names that is shown on the right side of the sheet. The names of some of the old ribbon farm owners are listed along the top of the map.

The map is printed in black ink on thin vellum paper and shows the locations of single pole lights and tower lights throughout the city. Streets, street names, railroad lines, and ward boundary lines are also shown. The map was "Lithographed & Published by the Calvert Lith. & Eng. Co., Detroit" and is dated 1897.

- One map print entitled "Detroit - Prior to the Fire of June 11, 1805." The map shows the layout of the town and fort as of June, 1805, including the names and locations of property owners at that time as well as lot numbers, lot dimensions, street names, and right-of way widths. The map area extends from Griswold Street on the east, to the Detroit River on the south, to Cass Street on the west, and to Fort Street on the north. The map also shows the extent of filling which occurred along the shoreline from 1805 up 1889. The title block in the lower left corner indicates that the map was "prepared by C. M. Burton, Wayne County Abstract Office, from Official Records." The drawing was done by "R. J. Mackey, Draughtsman," at a scale of 1/2 inch = 60 feet and is dated 1889.

In addition, the names of former ribbon farm owners (with private claim numbers) are shown along the shoreline of the Detroit River. An advertisement for "Boydell Bros. White Lead and Color Co." is shown in the upper right corner of the sheet. The map was "Published by Silas Farmer & Co., 31 Monroe Avenue, cor. Farmer Street, Detroit, Mich." at an approximate scale of 1 inch = 0.5 miles and was dated 1897. There is an advertisement for Boydell Bros., White Lead and Color Co., on the back cover.
