- While these shoes are not marked, they strongly resemble other shoes in the collection made by Edward Cohen of New York. Mr. Cohen was a favorite shoe maker of Mrs. Firestone in the late 1920s and early 1930s. Born in Decatur, Illinois in 1897 Elizabeth Parke married Harvey S. Firestone Jr., son of Firestone Tire and Rubber Company founder Harvey S. Firestone, in 1921.Once described by a friend as, "the most luxurious woman in the history of luxury," Elizabeth Parke Firestone's clothing collection illustrates her impeccable taste in fashion.

- A pair of woman's cream-color satin pumps with a one inch high heel. The shoes are lined with white kid, and have "bumpy" rounded toes. They are decorated with cream-color, crepe-covered oval decorations with clear glass beads. Labels: R.H. Fyfe and Detroit.

- A pair of woman's shoes made of black satin and suede. The instep has a cut out cut out design with strips that loop over a piece of elastic across instep. A circular rhinestone clip is on the edge of each instep. The 2 3/4" heels are entirely studded with rhinestones. Labeled Vanite DeLuxe.

- A pair of woman's leaf green faille pumps. The shoes have leather soles and a leather inner lining. They have a slightly rounded toe, medium French heel, and are very plain. The vamp comes to a point, and the side seam is topstitched. Stamped: Garside, New York, McBryde Boot Shop, Det. The pumps are worn with matching stockings 5B.

- A pair of woman's black felt slippers with suede soles. The slippers are trimmed with black fur, and have a faded blue satin, quilted lining. They tie with black ribbons. One slipper has a woven label: Daniel Green, Felt Shoe Co., Manufacturers, No Others Genuine. Name written inside is K.D. Hoyt. Katherine B. Durfee married Hobart B. Hoyt, June 17, 1902.
