- Selection from the eighteenth-century cookbook Family Magazine, includes the title page and pages 88-94, featuring the section The Complete Family Brewer. It discusses how to choose a good malt, hops, water, and brewing vessels. Mashing, brewing, and preserving beer is discussed in detail, followed by recipes for strong beer, China ale, “Alderberry-beer” or ebulum, and an improved, and excellently wholesome Purl, a wormwood ale.

- United States Light-House Establishment journal noting vessels passing the South Pierhead Light, South Haven, Michigan, from July 1, 1878 to June 30, 1882, recorded by the lighthouse keeper James S. Donahue. Commander J.N. Miller of the U.S. Navy, the Inspector, 11th District. Later, Commander J.C. Watson of the U.S. Navy, the Inspector. Contains Donahue's notations for the barges, brigs, sloops, schooners, and steamers entering in and leaving South Haven. In addition to vessels, it includes information on weather conditions. The journal measures 8 1/4 x 13 1/4 inches, 48 pages, marble boards. It includes one page of entries for each month, with daily totals.

- Commentary and edition of the Milanese-Cistercian recension and the Bernardine recension of the twelfth-century Cistercian Hymnal tracing the evolution of Cistercian texts and melodies from the Molesme-Cistercian Hymnal through the early twelfth century, when the Cistercian hymnal attained its medieval form. The hymnal was used until the mid-seventeenth century, when liturgical practices were changed to conform to Roman practice. Waddell divides the manuscripts into two major recensions, each represented in several manuscripts. and Preface -- Book one: The Cistercian hymnal, its antecedents, its composition, its early evolution.
