- A well-tended prison cemetery for Allied POW's stands on the outskirts of a German town. The graves are ivy-covered and several are decorated with wreathes and flowers. Each grave has the name of the deceased, his birth and death dates, and information about his military unit on plaques mounted on each of the crosses.

- Pastor Charles Correvon conducts an outdoor religious service for French Protestant prisoners at Darmstadt. He visited Protestant prisoners in the prison facilities around Frankfurt-am-Main and worked closely with the World's Alliance of YMCA's in Geneva.

- Photograph of the official delegation which attended the inauguration of the first American YMCA hall in a German prison camp. Dignitaries attending the celebration included Dr. Carl Stange of the University of Goettingen (standing in the front row from left to right), Ambassador James W. Gerard of the United States, and Colonel Bogen (commandant of the prison camp). Archibald C. Harte, the American YMCA representative, stands in the front row to the right. Allied prisoners stand in the background in front of the YMCA hall.

- Several Christmas trees stand on a platforms in the prison compound at Theresienstadt, probably outside of the YMCA building. The prisoners have decorated the trees with paper chains and ornaments. On the right hand side of the platform sits an accordion, which will bring music into the camp.

- This photograph shows the gravestones of English prisoners of war who died in captivity in Goettingen during the Great War. The graves are well-tended and covered with ivy. There are about forty graves in this section of the cemetery.

- American YMCA Secretary Bryant Ryall distributes bags of presents, bread, and a Christmas tree to Serbian boy prisoners at Braunau-am-Inn. Russian and Serbian prisoners observe this activity. The YMCA focused a great deal of attention on these boys and sought to make the Christmas season a joyous occasion.

- French Muslim prisoners from North Africa line up for roll call outside of their barrack at the prison camp at Zossen-Wuensdorf. The Germans concentrated Muslim POW's from North Africa, the Middle East, South Asia, and Russia in this prison camp which served as a propaganda facility.

- This photograph shows a view of the prison camp at Crossen-an-der-Oder from the central watch tower, showing the church and the site of the future YMCA building the American Association planned to construct. The POW's have already built several barracks and a church inside the compound. The photograph shows several of the camp's barracks and buildings under construction.
