- One navigational chart entitled, "St. Clair River Including Foot of Lake Huron and St. Clair Flats Canal," that was compiled and published by the U. S. Lake Survey (War Department, Corps of Engineers). The chart is drawn at a scale of 1:40,000 and shows the St. Clair River from the lower end of Lake Huron to the St. Clair Flats. Land areas are shown in pale yellow. Lake areas are shown in white and light blue. Distances are given in statute miles. Soundings for lake depths are given in feet. Lines of latitude and longitude are shown in black. Lighthouses and buoys are also noted.

- Description:
- One navigational chart entitled, "Chart of St. Clair Flats Showing the Positions of Light House & Beacon Now in Course of Erection and the Channel Excavated in 1857 & 1858," that was prepared under the direction of Capt. W. W. Whipple of the Corps of Engineers. The survey was drawn by James T. Baker in October, 1852. Another note at the far right side of the chart shows "Copy, Bureau of Topl. Engrs., Nov. 10th, 1858" and is signed "J. C. Woodruff, Capt, Topl. Engrs., Asst. to Bureau." The chart is drawn at a scale of 3:16,000 and shows the area at the outlet of the South Pass (South Channel) of the St. Clair River which flows into Lake St. Clair. The chart is drawn in black ink on slightly yellowed paper and shows shorelines, water depths in feet, several depth contour lines, navigational channels, a north arrow and magnetic north, St. Clair Lighthouse and Beacon, and channel spar buoys. Printed text in the upper right corner shows "Sen. Ex. Doc. No. 1 - Ho. Ex. Doc. No. 2, 2nd Sess., 35th Cong." Printed text in the lower right corner shows "C. B. Graham, Lith."
