Blue ink has been used to show the water surface and the wood hull has been tinted in a light tan color. The plan was prepared at a scale of 1/2 inch = 1 foot by Frank E. Kirby for the Detroit Dry Dock Company.

The drawing consists of black ink on linen and shows interior plan and profile views for the proposed wooden-hulled, propeller-driven, bulk carrier steamships. The drawing indicates that the vessels also had three masts. The plan was prepared at a scale of 1/4 inch = 1 foot by Frank E. Kirby for the Detroit Dry Dock Company.
