- The speakers are all UAW members and workers at the Fisher Body plant in Lansing, MI. Each offers memories, humorous stories, and descriptions of factory life during his or her time in Fisher. The speakers' experiences span from the 1950s to the 1990s. These interviews were conducted at the annual UAW Local 602 Family Picnic at Eagle Park in Eagle, MI.

She also comments on the positive effect a UAW contract would have on salaried compensation.

- Jack Down, an R. E. Olds Transporation Museum volunteer and former REO Motor Car Company/Diamond-Reo Trucks, Inc. employee, recalls his experiences with the company and his life in the Greater Lansing, MI area. Down talks about his youth in East Lansing, attending Michigan State College, his jobs prior to working for REO, the factory buildings and land around the plant, the REO Clubhouse, and the beginnings of the REO Motor Car Company and the Oldsmobile and Fisher Body operations in Lansing. He also discusses the tragedy of owner Francis Cappaert raiding the REO worker's pension fund and the turmoil of the Lansing Labor Holiday and the labor confrontation known as the Battle of the Red Cedar. The interviewers are Shirley Bradley and Lisa Fine. Recorded as part of the REO Memories oral history project.

- Ken Germanson, Allied Industrial Workers international union staff member, AIW newspaper editor, and president of the Wisconsin Labor History Society (WLHS), talks with Labor and Industrial Relations Professor Emeritus John Revitte via telephone. Germanson talks about the founding of the United Auto Workers labor union and the life of labor activist Gabe Jewell and his participation in organizing the UAW. Germanson also talks about the rise of Homer Martin to the UAW presidency, General Motors recognition of the UAW, AFL leader John L. Lewis, and the UAW splitting into two competing caucuses. Germanson says that Jewell called the Reuther faction "Detroit radicals", quotes Jewell as saying Martin had become too impressed with himself and power mad, that there were Communist units in several UAW locals, and that Lansing, MI labor leader Lester Washburn was "a nice guy but weak". - Rocky recalls moving to Lansing at age 15 from Kentucky and being hired in June 1963, working ten and eleven hour shifts, participating in a wildcat strike in 1966 over gloves and receiving discipline. Rocky joined management in 1968 and discusses his relations with UAW officials. He built a replica of the Fisher Coach for a parade. Rocky comments on being transferred to Oldsmobile in 1985 following the corporate reorganization to BOC.
