- Democratic leaders Representative Nancy Pelosi (CA) and Senator Charles Schumer (NY) meet with President Donald Trump in the Oval Office. Trump talks about legislation pending in Congress and declares that his proposed border wall will be built. Schumer says that there are compromises that could be made to accomplish Trump's legislative objectives and still keep the government from shutting down. Both Pelosi and Schumer agree that the country needs tighter border security but they do not agree that a wall will promote security.
