- This black wool knit woman's chemise is slightly fitted but has no waist. The cap sleeves have indentations and square gussets at the armholes. There is fringed suede around the neck and down the front on either side of a heavy zipper reaching to above waist level. A concealed zipper closure runs down the back of the dress. Label: " Pierre Cardin, Paris, New York" Also instructions for the care of leather.

- Woman's evening dress of velveteen and printed cotton is above the knee in length, and has an empire waist and a deep V-neck. The bodice is a solid wine colored velveteen with full sleeves. The full gathered skirt is made of velvet cut in quilt blocks with half of each block a bright cotton print of green, red, blue, yellow and white. It is lined in wine taffeta Label: "Gayle Kirkpatrick, New York"

- These shoes were custom made to match a turquoise chiffon and satin evening gown (object number 89.492.559), made by Peggy Hoyt for Mrs. Firestone in May 1928. - The material does not feel as if it is all wool--perhaps wool and cotton or wool and linen. Worn by Willis C. Ward, it is typical in the styling of men's driving dusters. The material, however, is uncommon, as most dusters were generally linen. Willis C. Ward was born in 1861 to one of Michigan's wealthest families of the 19th century. His father David Ward, made his fortune in lumber and acquired and sold timbered land throughout the United States.
