The booklet is bound in a green paper cover with images of seals representing France, Great Britain, and the United States, along with a half-tone print of an illustration of early French settlers. The booklet contains the sections, "Old Gardens of Michigan," by Caroline Alger Shelden, "Grosse Point Gardens," by "E.S.P.," and the list "Some Modern Gardens of Michigan." Several illustrations and photographs are included within.
