This drawing is a blackline reproduction of the original and it shows an overall site plan of the fort property including property lines, the layout of the fort, barracks, officer's quarters, various other buildings, and streets. A bar scale is shown near the center lower edge of the sheet along with a note that reads "Scale 60 feet to 1 inch." Various handwritten notes along the lower edge indicate the dates when copies of the plan and accompanying letters were sent by post officers to the Quarter Master General Office. Officer's names noted include: Col. T. [Thomas] J. Cram, Major G. Weitzel, and Major W. M. McFarland.
