Desnoyers, which was deeded on September 15, 1829, due to the fact that the deed described "by reason of erroneous courses and boundaries, a parcel of ground other than that intended." The certificate is signed by John R. Williams, Mayor of Detroit, E.A. Brush, Recorder, and ten Aldermen, among them J. Owen, F. Buhl, B. Wight, William Barclay, Benjamin B. Moore, Peter Desnoyers, Oliver M. Hyde, C.R. Desnoyers, and B. Woodworth.

The note reads: The Fire Department of the City of Detroit, Respectfully solicit the Company of Maj. H.B. Brevoort at Dinner, near the National Hotel, in celebration of the approaching Anniversary of American Independence, on Monday the 5th inst. Detroit, July 2, 1847 Committee: Jno. R. Williams Zina Pitcher R.E. Roberts "Rec. July 4th at 2 PM," has been handwritten at the top of the note.
