The poster shows a color drawing of a Red Cross nurse who is tending to a group of small children. The artist's last name, "Crisp," can be seen near the center left edge of the drawing. A Red Cross is shown at the bottom of the poster along with printed text that shows "War Fund Week, One Hundred Million Dollars, May 20th - 27th." The banner features the images of a Red Cross nurse when her arm outstretched and a group of marching trooper behind her on the left, and the "Greatest Mother in the World" image by Alonzo Foringer, of a giant Red Cross nurse cradling a small wounded soldier in a stretcher.

Created by artist, Gordon Grant, for the purpose of recruiting nurses for the American Red Cross in World War I. The stamps are printed with an image of Liberty holding a torch and shield, below a pattern of mistletoe and the Red Cross symbol. The sheet explains the stamps are a reward for involvement in the organization's Christmas Roll Call, and contains information on tuberculosis, some geared toward dealing with infected soldiers.
